General Conference

All United Methodist clergy and laity the world over comprise the General Conference of the denomination. Every quadrennium, the General Conference meets with equal representation from clergy and lay delegates from churches representing each jurisdictional conference.

Jurisdictional Conference

The South Central Jurisdictional Conference is comprised of all United Methodist churches in an eight state region. States comprising this region are: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Jurisdictional Conference meetings are customarily held prior to each General Conference quadrennial meeting. Special meeting sessions may be called.

Annual Conference

Texas City First UMC is a member church in the Texas Annual Conference based out of Houston, TX. The Texas Conference is comprised of 9 districts. Those are:

North    Northwest    South  
Southeast    Southwest
West
